The release manifest identifies the current browse and reference catalogs, their immutable URLs, byte sizes, SHA-256 hashes, compatibility information, and terms revision.
What is in it
The hosted collection organizes 1,000+ style plates across cinematic, photographic, painterly, print, animation, graphic, nocturne, vintage, dreamlike, and contemplative directions. LitScenes clients use the catalog to show style language and visual references without embedding the full curated collection in the open-source desktop repository.
Built to fail safely
Catalog releases are immutable and content-addressed. Clients verify each catalog before activation, keep a last-known-good cache, and can fall back to the Community starter metadata when the service is unavailable. The public delivery bucket is reachable only through the dedicated CloudFront boundary.
Community access
Ordinary interactive browsing is offered to LitScenes products and honestly rebranded compatible AGPL clients. The hosted service, curated source data, and media are separate from the Desktop AGPL license; the visible catalog terms explain the offered use and service boundary.
